Cabaret (1987 revised version)

by Joe Masteroff with music & lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb

Set in 1929-1930 Berlin on the eve of the Nazi uprising, Cabaret focuses on expatriate Sally Bowles, an English cabaret singer with meager talents, and her relationship with young American writer Cliff Bradshaw. A sub-plot involves the doomed romance between German boarding house owner Fräulein Schneider and one of her tenants, Jewish fruit vendor Herr Schultz. Cabaret will be presented at the Theatre Guild on Rogers Street.

Directed by Sarah Tye.
