Can’t wait for the return of live theatre!!

Next PLAY READING on June 27th

FREE play readings on Sundays; MAY cancelled – next one is June 27th at 1:00p.m.

The Guild Board continues to meet virtually to manage our property and prepare for eventual re-opening. We are hosting play readings on the last Sunday of each month (except March) following COVID protocols.

Given the current situation with Covid-19, the increasing numbers of cases, and our concern for the health and safety of our volunteers and patrons, the Board of Directors has moved the production of Annie forward into November of the 21/22 season, a decision not easily made, but very necessary.

We continue to monitor Public Health restrictions and will follow their guidance regarding the use of the theatre for play readings and other events. Stay well everyone!

Marion Griffin,

President / Chair

An important message about COVID-19

Our production of ANNIE (at Showplace) has been postponed until November 2021
We have continued to consult with Public Health and other local theatre companies about risks associated with COVID 19 as part of our commitment to the safety and well-being of our volunteers and patrons.
We’ll be producing a shorter season next year.
Please be patient as we contact patrons to process ticket exchanges, donations and refunds. It may take us a while.
There have been about 1,500 tickets already sold for these events. THANK YOU to those generous patrons who have donated the value of tickets to the Guild. This will really help us to keep the lights on.
Tickets for postponed shows will be honoured at rescheduled dates. Just hold on to them. If patrons cannot reschedule they may be exchange tickets for other shows, tax donation receipts or refunds.
We hope that our patrons understand the impact of these challenges to both private sector and not-for-profit charitable theatres like us. Decisions to close or cancel are not taken lightly. We are confident that the Guild can weather the storm with your generous support. This is a time when we must appeal to all theatre patrons for patience, understanding and generosity.
We are monitoring trusted sources of public health information: Health Ontario’s COVID-19 website: and the Public Health Agency of Canada.
We are pleased to say that the Guild already regularly practices the sanitation procedures advised by local health authorities. As added precautions, we offer sanitizer at all service stations, including the washrooms, coat check, bars and the box office. Meanwhile, we have stocked up on sanitizing wipes for additional wipe downs of all surfaces during our regular cleaning protocols. We will have new protocols to protect patrons when we re-open.
If you have questions or comments, please email them to
Please contact our box office only for specific ticket issues.
Here’s hoping that it won’t be long before we see you at the theatre.
