LIVE THEATRE returns this fall!

FREE PLAY READING SEPTEMBER 26 – Reservations required

The Guild’s website will be moving this fall to peterboroughtheatreguild.com

A BIG THANKS to MP Monsef and the Federal Government’s Enabling Access Funds! The Guild has been given a grant of $100,000 to improve accessibility to the Gwen Brown Studio and washroom facilities at the Guild Hall. Thanks also to Ann Farquharson (former Board member) for her work in helping us to get this grant and manage the project to upgrade the Guild facilities to make them accessible to all.

This project and our re-opening plans are a result of the Guild Board continuing to meet virtually each month to keep moving forward in spite of current restrictions. Thanks to everyone involved.

We are hosting play readings on the last Sunday of each month following COVID protocols. For more information check the tab “What’s Happening” and click on “Play Readings”.

Given the current situation with Covid-19, and our concern for the health and safety of our volunteers and patrons, the Board of Directors has moved the production of Annie forward to November of the 21/22 season, a decision not easily made, but very necessary.

We continue to monitor Public Health restrictions and will follow their guidance regarding the use of the theatre for play readings and other events. Stay well everyone!

Marion Griffin,

President / Chair

About COVID-19

Our production of ANNIE (at Showplace) has been postponed until November 2021
We continue to consult with Public Health and other local theatre companies about risks associated with COVID 19 as part of our commitment to the safety and well-being of our volunteers and patrons.
Tickets for postponed shows will be honoured at rescheduled dates. Just hold on to them. If patrons cannot reschedule they may be exchange tickets for other shows, tax donation receipts or refunds.
We hope that our patrons understand the impact of these challenges to both private sector and not-for-profit charitable theatres like us. Decisions to close or cancel are not taken lightly. We are confident that the Guild can weather the storm with your generous support. We’ll be producing a shorter season next year.
We are monitoring trusted sources of public health information: Health Ontario’s COVID-19 website: https://www.ontario.ca/page/2019-novel-coronavirus and the Public Health Agency of Canada.
The currently active restrictions and limitations under which we operate are copied here directly from their website:
