By Eugene Stickland
Directed by Randy Read
The world of middle-aged male crisis and angst is visited with broad humour and gentle wit in Eugene Stickland’s comedy, Midlife. Jack suddenly confronts his identity and feels hopelessly trapped in a lifestyle he thinks is constraining. His sudden awareness of the acute passing of time catapults him into an hilarious quest for a new romantic relationship. He thinks his new life and playing golf – A LOT OF GOLF! – will solve his problems but what he discovers is unexpected. A unique theatrical experience, Midlife probes contemporary relationships and the stumbling blocks to intimacy in our age of chat rooms and downsizing. Midlife takes a comic and heartfelt look at relationships and the corporate world in this age when 50 is supposedly the new 30!
